Two men charged after fatal stabbing in Oldham

Two men have been charged with the fatal stabbing of a man in Oldham.

19-year-old Frazer McDonald and a 17-year-old male who cannot be named for legal reasons have each been charged with one count of violent disorder.

They were both remanded into custody following a court appearance at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court yesterday.

They are next due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Monday 28 June 2021.

Police were called shortly after 5.05pm on Wednesday 26 May 2021 to a report of a disturbance involving a group of men causing damage to a property on Fifth Avenue Oldham.

During the disturbance, 25-year-old Charlie Elms was fatally stabbed. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
