Millie's Mark launches as Manchester charity's work reaches milestone
Dan and Joanne Thompson from Stockport lost their daughter Millie who choked to death at her nursery in 2012.
Nurseries across the country whose entire staff have been fully trained in paediatric first aid can now apply to have 'Millie's Mark'. The mark - a plaque displayed in the nursery can be used to assure parents on the level of safety.
Millie's Trust- the Manchester charity behind the idea, was founded in 2012 by parents Dan and Joanne Thompson whose daughter Millie choked to death at her Stockport nursery.
Since then Millie's Trust has helped train nursery staff and raise awareness on the need for better first aid care in child centres.
