A house and three cars in Manchester have been shot at.

The property, Volvo, Mini and Toyota were targetted on Ansdell Street in the Lower Crumpsall area just before 07:40 this morning (Tuesday 6th February 2018).

An investigation has now been launched and police are asking witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch with them as soon as possible.

Detective Chief Inspector Richard Ennis from GMP’s City of Manchester Team said:

“Earlier this morning we were called after gunshots were heard on Ansdell Street in Lower Crumpsall.

“There were no injuries reported but we are taking this incredibly seriously as we could easily be dealing with a tragedy.

“Guns are never welcome on our streets, but at 7.40am people are on their way to work, children are on their way to school, people are eating breakfast in their homes, the possibilities of what could have happened to innocent people are terrifying to think about.

“We have closed the street and we are doing all that we can to find those responsible.

“If anyone saw what happened or saw anyone acting suspiciously, please do get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 1146, alternatively call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
