Manchester City have strongly condemned an attack on Liverpool's team coach as it was leaving the Etihad Stadium.

We're told it was damaged as it was driving through a residential area following yesterday's (1st April) 4-1 home win. It's reported to have been a brick which cracked a window.

There are no reports of any injuries.

In a statement, Manchester City says "incidents of this kind are totally unacceptable and we strongly condemn the actions of the individual(s) involved"

The statement goes on to say the Club's "disappointed to have heard inappropriate chants from home fans."

City say they'll continue to work with supporter groups and officials from both clubs to eradicate hateful chanting from this fixture.
