Man dies after suffering head injuries in Rochdale

A man's died after he was found collasped with head injuries in a street in Rochdale.

Shortly after 2.30am on the 3rd August 2016, police were called to Roch Valley Way in Bamford, to reports of an unconscious man.

Emergency services attended and found a man suffering from head injuries and cardiac arrest. The man was rushed to the hospital, but he unfortunately died shortly after.

Formal ID has not yet taken place, but Detective Inspector Andy Butterworth, of GMP's Rochdale borough, said "We have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances that led to this man's death.

"We would like to appeal to anyone who may have been in the area at the time or seen anything that can help us establish how this man died to come forward"
