Man Asks Greater Manchester Police To Deport Him Back Home
A man who walked into a police station demanding deportation because he's fed up of Manchester has been told to find his own way home.
The man - originally from Iran - says he's been here illegally for 10 years and was handed over to immigration.
Officers have now tweeted that they've told him he'll have to put up, or find his own way back.
@GMPCityCentre tweeted:
Male arrested earlier at our front desk when he demanded to be returned home to Iran as he has had enough of Manchester after 10 years.
Very angry young man, who has been here illegally last 10 years, strange incident.
Immigration staff will now take over and manage the situation.
