Man charged with murder of woman in Levenshulme
A 67 year old woman was found dead at Westminster Street on Thursday

Greater Manchester Police have charged a man with murder after the death of a woman at her home on Westminster Street in Levenshulme on Thursday (7th May).
Officers were called-out around 8.30pm and found the 67 year old dead at the scene.
GMP's DI Benjamin Cottam said, "This is a tragic incident in which a woman has sadly lost her life and I want to extend my sincere condolences to her family and friends. Our specialist officers are currently supporting the woman’s family at this incredibly difficult time.
"I would like to reassure the public that this is being treated as an isolated incident, and we have an increased police presence in the Manchester area while we gain a fuller understanding of exactly what has taken place.
"Our dedicated team of detectives are working tirelessly to establish the full circumstances surrounding this tragic death.
"If you have any information at all, no matter how insignificant you feel it may be, please contact police immediately. Even the smallest piece of information could be vital in helping officers to complete their enquiries."
