LATEST: Bomb squad in Old Trafford following 'man making threats'

Police and bomb disposal teams are at an address in Old Trafford this afternoon after finding suspicious items.

A large number of homes on Chester Road have been evacuated as a precaution.

This scene is in place after police received reports last night of a man making threats.

A man in his 20s has been detained for a public order offence and taken to custody.

Police are now working with the fire service to make sure there is no risk to the public.
