Men arrested after woman left injured in incident near Heaton Park

Police have arrested a man on suspicion of assault after a woman was left injured in an incident in north Manchester.

Officers first received reports of a domestic assault on Torcross Road near Heaton Park in the north of Manchester just after 10:50 a.m. on Sunday (February 11th).

When responders arrived at the scene, they found three people involved in an ongoing incident, with a woman who had been injured in her arm.

The force went on to arrest an 18-year-old man in connection with the incident. A second man in 40s was arrested on suspicion on assault.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police confirmed that they had detained one man in connection with the altercation.

"An 18-year-old man and a man in his 40s have been arrested on suspicion of assault," the force said. "One suspect was arrested on Middleton Road.

"A female victim is believed to have an injury to her arm," they added. "Enquiries are ongoing."
