Greater Manchester embraces the latest easing of COVID restrictions

Pubs and restaurants across Greater Manchester are serving customers inside for the first time in months as coronavirus lockdown measures are eased.

Cinemas and theatres have also reopened, meeting indoors in groups of six or two households is allowed again.

People have also started jetting off on foreign holidays from Manchester Airport as travel restrictions are eased.

The government is asking people to be careful, especially with an increase in cases of the Indian variant in places like Bolton.

Doctors there have been telling us record numbers of covid jabs have been administered over the weekend - with more than 3,000 at just one site yesterday.
