A group of Police officers from Greater Manchester Police will be taking part in the New York marathon this year - to raise money for their colleague Nicola Hughes.

Nicola was one of the officers murdered by Dale Cregan along with her colleague Fiona Bone.

They'll raise money for the Nicola Hughes Foundation which was set up by her dad Bryn and has already raised thousands of pounds for children across the region.

Stu Rostron and Jenni Harlow-Smith are among six officers from GMP who'll be teaming up with colleagues from forces across the UK to take part in November's marathon.
