GMP Drink Drive Clampdown

Greater Manchester Police are stepping up their attempts to catch drink-drivers in the act the morning after the night before.
Motorists are being stopped across the region as part of the annual Christmas clampdown.
Figures show alcohol has been a contributing factor in 73 collisions so far this year. Two of these collisions were fatal and 16 led to serious injury. Police have also dealt with 216 drug drivers so far this year.
Last December, 273 drink drivers and 44 drug drivers were arrested.
