15-year-old girl attacked while walking dog in Tameside

Three girls between the ages of 13 and 15 and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested

Officers in Tameside are appealing for information after a teenage girl was assaulted in Droylsden.

The 15-year-old girl was attacked by a group as she walked her dog near to Medlock Leisure Centre, off Gardenfold Way, at about 8pm on 26 March 2022.

Detective Sergeant Helen Jordan, of GMP's Tameside district, said:

"The victim had to attend hospital but fortunately was not seriously injured.

"She was attacked by a group of females and males, and is understandably shaken by the incident, and is being supported by her family and specialist officers.

"We believe this to be an isolated incident but believe it was witnessed by members of the public and would implore anyone with information to report it."

Three girls - aged 13, 15 and 15 - and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of assault and are being questioned in police custody.
