Fifth suspect arrested in Ashton town centre murder investigation

Man has been arrested with links to Bradley Moore murder investigation

Another suspect has been arrested with links to the murder of a man outside a McDonald’s restaurant in Greater Manchester.

On July 27th Bradley Moore, 43, died after an assault in Warrington Street in Ashton-under-Lyne town centre.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 10.50pm to reports of an assault and discovered Mr Moore seriously injured.

He was taken to the hospital but unfortunately died in the early hours of July 28th.

A Home Office post mortem examination confirmed he died as a result of multiple injuries.

A 12-year-old boy has been charged with the murder along with two 16-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy.

Greater Manchester Police have said that further information has since come forward through police inquiries indicating that Mr Moore may have also been involved in a collision with a car shortly after being assaulted.

A 44-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing the death by dangerous driving.

Detective Superintendent Jon Chadwick, from GMP's Major Incident Team, said: We currently have one man in custody who is being questioned by police.

Our investigation remains very much active and we continue to offer our condolences and support to Bradley's family at this difficult time.''
