Family pay tribute to 'loving father' killed in Belle Vue crash

The family of a dad of two killed following a crash in Belle Vue have described him as a 'loving father'.
30-year-old Michael Pilkington from Haughton Green was riding his Suzuki motorbike along Hyde Road yesterday morning when he was involved in a collision with a Peugeot 208.
Emergency services attended and tried to treat his injuries at the scene before he was taken to hospital where he died a short time later.
Paying tribute to him, his family said: “Michael was a loving father to his beautiful son and daughter, partner to Jade, son to his parents John and Lindsay and brother to Natasha and Scott.
“We are struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss of our beloved Michael and ask to be allowed to grieve as a family at this time.”
