A Tameside nurse who's been disagnosed with uncurable skin cancer is urging people to protect themselves in the sun.
A Tameside nurse has launched a campaign called 'Dying for a Tan' after she was diagnosed with incurable skin cancer.
Sarah Swindells from Shaw blames her sunbed use as a teenager for her stage four melanoma.
After undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy she's now been told a treatment known as tumour-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) could be her only hope. It involves using a patient’s tumour to grow cells which are put back into the body to fight the cancer, and is only available privately at The Christie, costing £70,000.
Her family, friends and colleagues are now on a fundraising mission to try and help save her life.
Sarah told us she can't thank people enough for their support, but she also wants the campaign to be about prevention....
