Police have seized half a kilo of drugs and stolen cars, after carrying out a morning raid in Bolton.

Officers from GMP’s Operation Challenger team conducted the warrant on Friday, as part of their operation targeting serious and organised crime in Greater Manchester

During the morning raid, up to half a kilogram of suspected cocaine was found in the property, in addition to around £2,000 in cash. Both were seized by officers.

Officers also discovered two cars – a VW T-CROSS and a BMW X2 – which were suspected stolen.

One man, aged 31, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and handling stolen goods. He remains in custody for questioning.

DI Lee Newburn, from GMP’s Challenger team, said: “Operation Challenger is dedicated to taking drugs and harmful substances off the streets of Greater Manchester. This morning’s find means that we have now taken another chunk of suspected illicit drugs out of circulation and protected people from the dangers that they pose.

“We will continue tackling drugs, disrupting the people who sell them, and cracking down on all criminality that can arise from them."
