Police investigate suspected double murder in Moss Side

A double murder investigation's underway in Moss Side this morning (Sunday 17th November).
Officers were alerted to an incident taking place on Great Southern Street at around 5am on Sunday morning.
Emergency services attended the scene, where they found two men who were in need of immediate medical attention.
However, despite paramedics' best efforts to resuscitate them, the two men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Greater Manchester Police have since confirmed a man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
The suspect is now in police custody and is being questioned by investigators.
In a statement, Greater Manchester Police said they are treating it as an "isolated incident", with no wider threat to the public.
A cordon's in place on Great Southern Street and officers are asking people to avoid the area where possible.
