Detectives investigating the murder of Thomas Campbell in Tameside have released doorbell footage of a suspect they wish to speak to.

Throughout their investigation, officers established that there were three men involved in the fatal attack at Thomas’ home in the Riverside area of Mossley in July 2022.

Officers say the footage, released publicly for the first time, was captured in the area surrounding the scene on the night of Thomas’ death.

One man has already been sentenced to life in prison for his involvement, and another who was wanted in connection with the murder was arrested in Suriname last month.

Detective Chief Inspector Liz Hopkinson, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “Owing to the meticulous investigation and information from the public, we have already made significant progress in this case but we will not stop until all those involved face justice.

“We have a number of lines of enquiry but we know there will be people out there with information who haven’t yet come forward – I compel you to do the right thing and report it, either directly to GMP via https://mipp.police.uk/operation/06GMP22G12-PO1 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
