Child suffers head injury in hit & run in Oldham

Police have released CCTV of a man they want to speak to

An investigation's underway after a three-year-old child was left with a head injury in a hit and run Oldham.

It happened just after 6pm yesterday evening (Tuesday 8th October).

Police say just minutes earlier, a man threw a brick at a police car on Ripponden Road.

They say the man then made off on an electric bike and - 8 minutes later on Taurus Street - he collided with a child.

The child was thrown into the air and hit a parked vehicle.

The man on the bike then failed to stop, leaving the child with a head injury. The child is now out of hospital and is recovering at home.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and assist their investigation.
