Man suffers 'life changing injuries' in Cheetham Hill stabbing

The 26 year old was attacked on Wednesday night

An investigation us underway after a man was stabbed in Cheetham Hill last night (23 October 2024).

Emergency services were called to Beckhenham Road at around 9pm.

Officers received a call from the ambulance service, who were treating a man aged 26 with serious, life-changing injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he remains for treatment.

No arrests have been made.

Extra officers have been deployed to the area for reassurance.

Detectives investigating the incident are now appealing for information as they continue their work.

This includes any relevant CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage.

Detective Sergeant Gabriela Espinoza Castro, from GMP’s City of Manchester district, said: “We have extra officers around the area to reassure residents as we continue our work, and I would encourage local residents to talk to them about any queries you may have.

“This was a senseless attack which has left a man with serious injuries – there could have easily been much more severe consequences.

“I would urge anyone with any information to please get in touch with us – your information could prove hugely beneficial.”
