Roof of double-decker bus ripped off in Eccles after hitting bridge

The roof of a double-decker bus which hit a bridge in Eccles has been ripped clean off in a major crash.

Police sealed off Barton Lane after the major crash last night.

Greater Manchester Police were called at around 9.45pm on Monday 10th April.

In a post on Twitter GMP Traffic said the road would remain closed until the Ports Authority could attend to assess and repair any damage.

It's not clear yet if anyone was hurt.
