A woman who died after she was hit by a car while crossing a road in Bury has been named and pictured for the first time.

30-year-old Amy McNicholas was taken to hospital on Wednesday 02 October, and died five days later.

"She was the kindest soul and a pleasure to always be around, our family will have a part missing now she is gone.

"She was caring to everyone she knew and always had a smile on her face. Amy will be forever loved and missed by all that knew her.”

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses and any dashcam or CCTV footage of the crash, which happened on Manchester Road.
