Bolton's Mosques Drive Safe Campaign

Published 4th Sep 2015

Young people at a mosque in Bolton were given a demonstration of the effects of road traffic accidents at a demonstration by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue.

Bolton Council of Mosques has been working with police, the fire service and council to tackle dangerous driving and educate young people about road safety, following a number of serious car crashes last year.

Last month their Drive Safe campaign began a tour of local mosques, highlighting the dangers of racing and anti-social driving, local people can take part in a driving simulator to test their driving skills and risk awareness, and speak to local police and fire officers on how to stay safe on the roads.
