Body of homeless man found behind east Manchester car wash

The area was cordoned off just after 8am this morning

The body of a homeless man has been found at the back of a car wash in east Manchester.

Police were called to the site on Hyde Road at around 08:15 on Monday 14 November.

Paramedics from North West Ambulance Service sadly pronounced the 40-year-old dead at the scene.

Greater Manchester Police are not treating his death as suspicious.

A GMP spokesperson said: "At 08.16am this morning, Monday November 2022, police were called to reports of a body of a homeless man in a vehicle at the back of a car wash on Hyde Road. Colleagues from NWAS attended and sadly pronounced the man dead at the scene.

"Officers believe that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the 40-year-old and are now tracing his next of kin."
