The body of a man has been found at a water park in Manchester this morning.

Police were called to Chorlton Water Park just after 5am, following a report of concern for the welfare of a man.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "At around 5.10am this morning (Tuesday 19 July 2022), police received a report of concern for the welfare of a man at Chorlton Water Park.

"Emergency services attended and a man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The death is not believed to be suspicious."
