Air Ambulance called after man stabbed in Ashton Under Lyne

Police have a number of cordons in place in Ashton and in Oldham

A man is in hospital after being stabbed in Ashton-Under-Lyne.

The 18 year old victim have suffered serious injuries, but they're not believed to be life-changing.

Police have a number of cordons in place including in the car park of the Aldi on Warrington Street in Ashton-Under-Lyne.

A street in Oldham is also cordoned off.

Police are making door to door enquiries on Second Avenue.

An air ambulance responding to the incident landed at nearby Limeside Park at around 2:30pm.

In a statement, the North West Air Ambulance said:

"We can confirm that the North West Air Ambulance Charity was called to an incident in Oldham on the 7th of February, H72 responded."

GMP say no arrests have been made at this stage.
