A stretch of canal in Manchester City Centre's being closed off at night - following the deaths of two teenagers.
A body believed to be that of 19-year old Orlando Nyero was found in the canal off Whitworth Street West on Tuesday - he's understood to have been on a night out.
Three months ago - the body of teenager Charlie Pope was pulled from the same stretch.
At an emergency meeting last night - Councillor Pat Karney was one of the officials who've made the decision to block off six public entrances to the water from 10pm every night for the foreseeable future:
Officials will hold an emergency meeting next Wednesday to discuss long-term plans for the canal towpath.
The Canal and Rivers Trust put in temporary barriers along that section of the canal back in March following Charlie's death to try and keep people safe.
