A 92-year-old in his hospital after suffering potentially life-changing injuries following a road traffic collision in Stockport. The collision took place as the man was crossing Crosswaite Road at the junction with Lisburne Lane, Offerton, at around 3.35pm on Wednesday 2 December 2015. At the same time a blue Vauxhall Zafira, which had been travelling down Lisburne Lane, made a right turn on to Crosswaite Road and collided with the pedestrian. The 92-year-old man suffered a broken leg and pelvis and was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. Constable Edward Lister said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time to contact us. “This man has been left in a very serious condition, and his age means that injuries of this magnitude could have huge ramifications on his life. “If you witnessed the collision, or think you can shed some light as to the exact circumstances, please do not hesitate to contact police.” Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 021215/1423 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
