78-year-old woman dies after being hit by van outside Asda in Oldham
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward
A 78-year-old woman has died after she was hit by a van outside an Asda in Oldham.
The incident occurred in Asda's car park on Greenfield Lane, Shaw, as the driver of a Peugeot Expert was heading towards the car park exit.
According to the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU), the driver struck the woman as she was returning to her vehicle.
The woman suffered significant injuries and sadly died later.
Police are seeking help from witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage covering the fatal crash.
