A six-year-old girl has suffered injuries thought to be life-threatening, after a crash in Bolton last night (Saturday 9th November).

Emergency services were sent to Chorley Old Road around 10.30pm, where three cars were involved.

Detectives believe one of the cars was travelling in an easterly direction, with the second exiting Avenue Street.

The first crossed onto the wrong side of the carriageway, crashing into the third car.

The girl was one of three people from the third car taken to hospital.

A statement added: "GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are following several lines of enquiry to identify those involved but are now appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have information regarding the incident to come forward.

"This includes anyone with relevant dashcam, CCTV, mobile, or doorbell footage from the area and captures any of the incident."
