Woman dies after crash in south Manchester as man arrested

Police are asking any witnesses to come forward

A 25-year-old woman has died following a crash involving two vehicles in south Manchester.

On Monday 6 November, at around 11:20pm, police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Moss Lane East, Moss Side.

The incident involved a BMW, which was travelling along Moss Lane East, away from Princess Road and towards Upper Lloyd St. The BMW was in collision with a Toyota and a 25-year-old woman who was a passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she passed away a short time later.

A 35-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Greater Manchester Police are now wanting to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who has relevant footage including mobile, dashcam or CCTV footage.
