20 injured in 16 vehicle crash on the M66

20 people are injured after a 16 vehicle crash on the M66.

It happened between Ramsbottom and Bury at about 11:25 this morning (Thursday 1st March 2018).

A bus is being used to provide shelter and care for the people who are unable to remain in their cars.

Police say the road has had to be closed in both directions and are asking drivers to avoid it if possible.
