What a week it has been for Robbie Williams.

Not only has the former member of Take That won a BRITs Icon Award, he has also seen his current album 'The Heavy Entertainment Show' shoot straight to the top of the charts, breaking records on its way.

'The Heavy Entertainment Show' is Robbie's 12th UK solo number one, making him the most successful UK solo artist ever. That's one album ahead of the late David Bowie who had 11. It also puts him in second place behind The Beatles for number one studio albums (he has ten, whilst The Beatles have 11).

What an incredible achievement for the 42-year-old singer who left Take That over two decades ago.

Speaking about the hitting the top spot again Robbie said, "I’m chuffed that this album is number one and I’m humbled by these amazing statistics and facts. Thank you to the wonderful, wonderful team at Sony."

He went on to say he hoped his fans enjoy the album as much as he did making it and he can't wait for his tour next year.
