It's that time of year again, award season is upon us and the BRIT Awards 2017 are just around the corner!
Ahead of the big night on Wednesday 22nd February, meet the nominees in the 'British Female Solo Artist' category.

Ellie Goulding
Ellie has been nominated for a BRIT Award a massive ten times and has successfully picked up two, including the 'Critics' Choice' award in 2010 and the 'British Female Solo Artist' in 2011.
After a successful 2016, the 30-year-old will be hoping to take back her title at the awards on the 22nd February.

Lianne La Havas
Lianne La Havas, real name Lianne Charlotte Barnes, is a singer songwriter from London and multi instrumentalist.
Lianne's career first kicked started when she supplied the backing vocals for Paloma Faith. She later released her debut single 'Lost and Found' in April 2012, before releasing her debut album later in the year.
The 27-year-old is now supporting Coldplay on their 'A Head Full Of Dreams' tour in Australia and New Zealand. Her album 'Blood' is available for download.
Anohni
45-year-old singer songwriter Anohni from Sussex enjoyed success as the lead singer of the band Antony and the Johnsons before going on to become a solo artist.
Transgender Anohni was first nominated for a BRIT Award back in 2006 as Antony Hegarty in the 'British Male Solo Artist' category and now, 11 years later, she's up for 'British Female Solo Artist'.
Anohni's new album 'Hopelessness' is out now.
Nao
Nao, real name Neo Jessica Joshua, is a 29-year-old singer and record producer from Nottingham.
The soul and electronic music star describes her sound as 'wonky fun' and released her debut solo album 'For All We Know' in July 2016. Nao has previously played at Glastonbury festival and started her career in a a-capella girl band called The Boxettes.

Emeli Sande
Superstar Emeli Sande has received six BRIT Award nominations since 2012, picking up three of them including the prestigious 'British Album' for ''Our Version Of Events' in 2013.
After taking a break to work on her new album, Emeli returned with the tracks 'Hurts' and 'Long Love The Angels' in 2016.
She'll be hoping to beat off competition and pick up the award for 'British Female Solo Artist' at the BRIT Awards 2017.
