This week announcements for the line-up of the new Strictly Come Dancing series have been coming in thick and fast, and the latest big name to be confirmed is a singer who also has A LOT of dancing experience. Former Pussycat Dolls member Ashley Roberts was confirmed as the latest celebrity to join this year's Strictly earlier today (17th August) in a tweet from the BBC, which was promptly retweeted by the 'Don't Cha' singer.

The BBC's caption cleverly quoted some lyrics from the Pussycat Dolls's Number 3 single from 2008, 'When I Grow Up', saying, 'When I grow up I wanna be famous, I wanna be a star, I wanna be on...'

Ashley was first rumoured to be in the line-up last week when a source told the Mirror, "Ashley is already a hot favourite because of her dance experience with the Dolls as well as having trained as a dancer.

"Although she might not have done much ballroom or Latin, being able to pick up choreography quickly as well as her rhythm is sure to give her an edge."

However, Ashley has much more than her dancing experience as an edge over other contestants as she has also been a judge on Dancing On Ice for two years.
