How much?!

You'd think Kathy's cafe on EastEnders would be a total bargain, right?

But it turns out that the EastEnders haunt loved by all the locals on Albert Square is keeping up with London's sky-high rent by ramping up the prices.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot the not-so-hot deal of a coffee and a sarnie for £6 offered to customers while Mick and Shirley Carter had a natter.

The complaints came in thick and fast from viewers, with one tweeting, 'Bacon sandwich and a coffee £6 !!!!!#EastEnders'.

Another shocked fan added, 'Anyone realised that the cafe is so expensive like £6 for a bacon butty and a coffee, that’s daylight robbery #eastenders'.

One fan quizzed, 'Bacon or sausage sandwich & a coffee £6.00, for real, kathy's? #eastenders'.

A few jokes were made about Mick's miserable face by fans of the soap, who suggested it must have been because of the sky-high prices.

'@MrDDyer is not happy bout the price in the cafe for a sarnie n a brew', a user wrote. "eastenders cafe is daylight robbery'. sic

Meanwhile EastEnders viewers were left in shock last night when the soap's longest standing character Ian Beale said he was 'leaving Walford for good'.

Ian, who is played by actor Adam Woodyatt, was visiting his on-screen wife Jane in hospital after she was left unconscious following an arson attack by bad boy Max Branning.

After Max threatened Jane to keep quiet about the fire, Jane pleaded with Ian to leave Albert Square.

She said, "Don't you want a fresh start? All those ghosts and bad memories? Family? Steven and Lucy are dead. Peter is half way around the world. Martin has Michelle.

"You just said that I was your priority. You're not listening Ian. This is what I want. I can't go back there Ian. I can't. Please don't make me. I can't. I can't go back. Please."

Ian then replied saying, "We'll leave Walford for good", leaving fans wondering if he will leave the soap after more than three decades.

Adam Woodyatt would be a big miss on the soap having first made his debut way back in 1985.

EastEnders continues weekdays.
