Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall is best known for playing lovable mechanic Tyrone Dobbs - a role he has had for the last 20 years. Tyrone has always been known for his kind and warm personality, and although he's never been considered a soap hunk, he has a solid fan base.

However, that could all be set to change, as it turns out that 35-year-old Alan has slimmed down remarkably, and has been sharing posts online of his sports activities.

Taking to Instagram, Alan has been keeping fans updated on his life, and recently shared a photo of himself at a wedding with the caption, 'What a fantastic day & night celebrating Mr & Mrs Minor’s wedding day !! #somuchGin 🙈.'

Fans could not believe what they were seeing, and took to the comments section to praise the actor. One wrote, 'Always loved Tyrone but now there's even more to like!' as another added, 'You look so good!' and one commented, 'Serious transformation!' and another branded him a 'hottie.'

Alan also looked noticeably trimmer in another post, wishing a happy birthday to his co-star Samia Longchambon, who played Maria Connor in the show. Posting a photo of himself with his arm around Samia, Alan wrote, 'Happy birthday to my big sis 😉 @samia_longchambon absolutely beautiful inside & out, have lovely Day Sam 😘😘😘 #halfwayto72 😂.'

Alan's new look comes two months after he announced that he and his wife, former Corrie co-star Lucy-Jo Hudson, were separating after nine years of marriage.

Lucy-Jo confirmed the sad news in a statement to HELLO! magazine, saying, "I can confirm that Al and I are in the process of divorcing. We remain friends and devoted Mummy and Daddy to our daughter Sienna. We would appreciate privacy so that we can focus on Sienna's continued happiness."
