This month is 25 years since Wayne's World was released!
Adapted from the Saturday Night Live sketch featuring Mike Myers and Dana Carvey the Wayne's World films defined a generation.
Ask anyone in their 30s or 40s and they are bound to have fond memories of the antics Wayne and Garth got up to, from Wayne literally falling for Cassandra to following the 'weird naked Indian' in a dream.
As it's 25 years since Wayne's World was released we thought we'd gather together 25 things you probably don't know about the Wayne's World!
1) Although Saturday Night Live popularised Wayne's World the character Wayne first appeared on a Canadian variety TV programme called It's Only Rock 'n Roll.
2) The character Garth is based on Dana's real-life brother Brad. In Wayne's World 2 Garth wears a Video Toaster T-shirt paying tribute to Brad who developed the special effects system.
3) The Queen 'Bohemian Rhapsody' scene almost didn't make the final cut as producers felt Guns and Roses were more popular at the time. Mike Myers put his foot down and said he wouldn't continue to make the film if it wasn't included and it became one of the most memorable scenes.
4) The 'Bohemian Rhapsody' scene was inspired by Mike's experience of singing the song in his car with his friends.
5) Following the release of the film 'Bohemian Rhapsody' made a return to the top of the charts kickstarting Queen's comeback.
6) Dana didn't know the words to 'Bohemian Rhapsody' when they filmed the scene, so if you look closely you'll see him awkwardly trying to sing along.
7) Wayne's World features a cameo appearance from Robert Patrick (Terminator 2), Mike Myers wasn't sure about it, however it's still a popular scene today.
8) No Stairway, denied. Fans of the film will remember that Wayne picks up his dream guitar in a music shop and starts to play, but gets stopped by the sales assistant who points out a sign which says 'No Stairway to Heaven'.
Reports state that Led Zeppelin denied the use of the song in the film. The theatrical release features the first few notes of 'Stairway to Heaven', however they were removed for the home release.

9) In the scene where Garth is playing the drums Dana is actually playing them.
10) Mike and Dana improvised a lot of dialogue including the scene when they are lying on the bonnet of a car and Garth says, “Did you ever find Bugs Bunny attractive when he put on a dress and played a girl bunny?”
11) Tia Carrere who plays Cassandra in both films turned down a role on Baywatch to play the part. Luckily it paid off!
12) While her character plays rock music Tia is an accomplished singer and has won a number of GRAMMYs for her work.
13) One of the film's trailers made in 1991 only appeared before The Addams Family. If you watch it you'll understand why.
14) Wayne's World was shot in just 34 days.
15) Wayne's World is set in Aurora, a suburb of Chicago, however the majority of the filming actually look place in Los Angeles.
16) To celebrate 25 years since Wayne's World was released, Aurora will Party On for a whole six months! Fans of the film are being encouraged to join in by using the hashtag #partyonaurora
17) Stan Mikita's Donuts doesn't really exist but when producer Lorne Michaels found out Aurora was just outside Chicago they decided to give the local ice hockey player his own 'hang out'.
18) Penelope Spheeris was the director of the first film, however Mike and Penelope didn't get on, so she didn't return for the sequel.
19) Wayne’s World is the most successful Saturday Night Live sketch which has been turned into a film, The Blues Brothers is the second and was released 12 years earlier.
20) Mike Myers revealed in an interview with the Huffington Post that the filming of Wayne's World was a blur as his dad was dying at the time. He recounted how the calls were either brilliant news about the film or bad news about his dad.
21) Wayne's World was Chris Farley's big screen debut, he then returned for the sequel playing a different character.
22) During the Wayne's World sketch on Saturday Night Live they would often invite celebrities to join in. One day Madonna appeared in the sketch and kissed Wayne in a fantasy sequence. This kiss was Mike Myers' first on-screen kiss and he said "She was really nice, actually. I was terrified."
23) The humour in Wayne's World is very American and with the decision to release it internationally there was a bit of a challenge when it came to translating the catchphrases. In the UK 200,000 mini mock-dictionaries were printed, while in Germany a teen mag translated the film into Germany slang. In France a group of comedians were asked to come up with the French equivalents to Wayne and Garth's sayings. 'Party on!' translates as 'Megateuf!'
24) Mike Myers' girlfriend at the time played a waitress in the film. The pair married in 1993 but filed for divorce in 2005.
25) Wayne's World was released on Valentine's Day in 1992.
