Woman in her 20s dies after M25 crash in Essex

A woman from London has died after a crash on the M25 in Essex last night.
Essex Police were told of a single-vehicle collision when a car was reported to have collided with the central reservation at 8.40pm on Saturday, December 23.
Police closed off the clockwise section of the road between junctions 27 and 28.
A spokesperson for Essex Police said: "Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the driver, a young woman from London, sadly died at the scene; her next of kin have been informed.
"The passenger, a woman aged 20s, sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital.
"The road was closed whilst officers from the Chigwell Roads Policing department and Forensic Collision Investigators carried out investigative enquiries at the scene."
The road was reopened at around 4.30am today.
Police are asking anyone with more information, dashcam or other footage from the incident to get in touch, quoting incident 1160 of December 23.
