Activists have painted the road outside Russia's embassy in London in the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

People wearing yellow boiler suits turned up just before 9am with wheelbarrows full of paint which was then poured along the route, while others wearing high-vis vests spread it out using brooms.

One side of the road in Kensington Palace Gardens is yellow, the other blue.

Police say they've arrested four people. Three men and one woman who are all being questioned on suspicion of criminal damage and obstructing the highway at a west London station.

The protest comes ahead of tomorrow's one year anniversary of Moscow's invasion.

Later tonight a vigil is planned to take place in Trafalgar Square.
