Two Metropolitan Police officers have been charged with sexual assault.

Police Constables Jerome Beasley, aged 41, and Luke Robinson, aged 39 allegedly sexually assaulted a woman at a venue in Central London on the 21st of April.

The offences allegedly took place whilst the two officers were off duty.

Both officers, part of the Central West Command Unit, have been charged with four counts of sexual assault each.

They have been suspended from duty whilst proceedings continue.

The Met says the Directorate of Professional Standards have been made aware of the charges.

They are set to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on the 20th of November.
