Tower Hamlets murder victim named
Mohammed Aqil Mahdi's body was found on Saturday, he'd been stabbed
A man found stabbed to death in a Tower Hamlets street on Saturday's been named today by the Met.
Police say they've not yet carried out a formal idetification but they believe him to be Camden 22 year old Mohammed Aqil Mahdi.
Emergency services were called to Naviation Road at around 9.45am on Saturday (6th November) where Mr Mahdi was found unresponsive.
DCI Laurence Smith said: "Our investigation is at an early stage, but we are making progress. I am determined to get justice for the victim’s family by finding whoever is responsible for this murder.
"I urge any witnesses or anyone who saw anything that may be significant to please make contact with police, or with Crimestoppers, and share what they know."
