Teenager charged after 15-year-old stabbed in north London

Detectives investigating a serious assault in Haringey have charged a teenager.

A 14-year old boy has been charged with Wounding with Intent (Serious assault) Possession of a bladed article in a public place and attempted robbery.

He has been remanded in police custody to appear before Highbury Corner Youth court on Thursday, 27 January.

The Metropolitan Police says officers were called at 16.32 on Monday 24 January to reports of a disturbance involving a group of people in the Sainsbury's car park on Williamson Road in Finsbury Park.

A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital with knife injuries, where he remains in a serious, but stable condition.

Enquiries are ongoing.
