Thousands of protesters took to the streets of London today calling for the UK to re-join the EU.

Participants gathered near the Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane around 12:00 before proceeding to Parliament Square for a rally.

The march route included Piccadilly, Saint James' Street, Pall Mall, Cockspur Street, and Whitehall.

According to the National Re-join March, leaving the EU is costing the UK up to £30 billion a year. The march was organised by Peter Corr, an ex-army HGV driver, and Richard Wilson, Vice Chair of European Movement.

The march, which was originally set to take place in September but had to be called due to the Queen's passing, is the first major national pro-European march since 2019.
