Pensioner suffered broken hip after being pushed to floor in bus queue
Police say a man in the queue took offence when the pensioner allowed women and children to board first
Police in west London say an 85-year-old man suffered a broken hip after being pushed to the ground by a man who was annoyed the pensioner had let women and children board a bus first.
The Metropolitan Police has issued a picture of a man they want to speak to following the incident at a bus station in Hammersmith in July.
The victim was attempting to board the 220 bus at 1pm on July 2nd when he stopped to allow a group of women and children to get on first, holding up other passengers behind him.
Police say a man in the queue seemed to take offence to this and began verbally abusing the elderly man before physically pushing him out of the way - causing him to fall to the ground.
He suffered a broken hip as a result of the attack and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Anyone who can identify the man in the image is urged to contact the force on 101.
