Pedestrian killed in south west London

A 37-year-old man has been killed after being knocked down by a car in south west London.

Police were called to Worple Road in Wimbledon just before 2am to reports of a collision.

The man died at the scene and his family are being supported by specialist officers.

Detectives from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating the circumstances.

They are particularly keen to hear from any witnesses who saw the collision, or captured it on CCTV or dash camera.
