Oliver Skipp leaves Tottenham hours before Premier League opener
The midfielder came through Spurs' Academy
Oliver Skipp has left Tottenham just hours before their Premier League opener.
The 23-year-old midfielder who was a graduate of Spurs' Academy, has left for newly promoted Leicester City.
Skipp joined Tottenham at the age of five, playing in its youth teams before making his professional competitive debut against West Ham in the League Cup in October 2018.
He would go on to play 106 times across all competitions, scoring his only goal in a 2-0 victory over Chelsea in February 2023.
Skipp was also named in the Professional Football Association's Championship Team of the Year during a loan spell at Norwich City in 2020-21.
On the club's website, Tottenham Hotspur say they wish Skipp "all the best for the future."
The midfielder is not eligible to play for Leicester on Monday in their opening game against Spurs after not registering in time.
