No arrests made a week after two men killed in south London
Police investigating the deaths of two men in south London say they're working round the clock to find who killed them.
23 year old Guilherme Messias Da Silva died after a car crashed into his moped in Brixton, while 27 year old Lemar Urqhart was fatally shot on the same road shortly afterwards.
This happened just over a week ago in Herne Hill
The Met tells us a number of people have come forward but are urging more to do so.
Detective Chief Inspector Sal Minhas, from Specialist Crime, said:
“Our thoughts continue to be with the family and friends of Guilherme and Lemar and we are working around the clock to identify and arrest those involved in this incident. The death of these two young men is a stark reminder of the work we need to do to tackle violent crime in our communities.
“While a number of people have come forward with information, we are urging anyone else who has any further details to speak to us on 0208 721 4961 or to Crimestoppers, an independent charity who will treat your information in the strictest of confidence.”
