Murder investigation launched in Greenwich after stabbing
A 23-year-old man suffered fatal stab injuries

A murder investigation has been launched in Greenwich after a 23-year-old man suffered fatal stab injuries.
At 17:37 on Wednesday (28 September) police were called to Brookhill Road, SE18 following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attended and a crime scene was started but a victim could not be located.
A short time later, at around 17:50, a 23-year-old man was dropped off by car at a south London hospital with serious injuries.
Medical staff responded immediately but despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at 19:11.
Police say it is believed the man likely sustained his injuries in the incident in Brookhill Road.
His next of kin have been informed.
Officers say anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 101.
Officers from the Met's Specialist Crime Command are investigating and a crime scene remains in place. There have been no arrests.
Detective Chief Inspector Sal Minhas, who is leading the investigation, said: "My thoughts are with the family and friends of this young man as they come to terms with his tragic death. We will do everything we can do support them.
"A dedicated team of detectives are working to establish exactly what happened and track down the people responsible. Officers will remain at the scene throughout the day and I would ask anyone with information about the incident to contact us immediately, no matter how minor the detail.
"Tackling violent crime remains a top priority for the Met. This incident is a stark reminder that we still have more to do in this area. We continue to work alongside the communities we serve to stop violence from happening in the first place."
